Thomas Caldwell Stuart is buried at Pontotoc City Cemetery, Pontotoc, Mississippi. “His tombstone erroneously give his date of death as 1883 instead of 1882” (Robert M. Winter, Outposts of Zion: A History of Mississippi Presbyterians in the Nineteenth Century, p. 67).
